Bearded Girls

The Bearded Girls series involved me researching the social experiences surrounding hair and how this impacts our identity. I began to think about my personal experience with body hair, particularly unwanted facial hair. For this series, I created a beard wig for women to use hyperbole as a form of liberation to the idea of women accepting facial hair as a social norm, instead of feeling bad about themselves. This project was displayed at the CGP Gallery in Southwark Park for a cross-disciplinary exhibition called Merge in 2019.
